President Will Donahue Joins Serbian Conservatives in Wreath Laying Ceremony Honoring Fallen World War I Soldiers
College Republicans of America President Will Donahue visited Serbia last month, joining an American delegation to an international conservative forum in Belgrade. Donahue joined a panel of several other high-profile conservative leaders, including commentator Jack Posobiec and New York Young Republicans President Gavin Wax.
Preceding the talks, however, was a somber Armistice Day ceremony honoring the hundreds of thousands of Serbians who died fighting the Central Powers during the First World War. President Donahue joined several international delegations in laying a wreath at a monument to the soldiers.
“I was very honored to be invited to give thanks to the fallen this Armistice Day in Belgrade,” President Donahue said. “It was an amazing experience and a sobering reminder of the terrible ramifications of war.”
President Donahue said he had had an excellent experience during his time in Belgrade, with superb accommodations for him and the other high-profile American conservatives on the trip.
“The people of Belgrade are very strong, hard-working, and hospitable. They treated me and the rest of the American delegation with care and respect,” Donahue said. “I’d like to give thanks to Dr. Popovic and the Serbian People’s Party for inviting me to their country and giving me the opportunity to represent the College Republicans at their Cross-Continental Conservative Congress.”
Donahue’s trip stands as yet another win for the College Republicans of America, which has in just six short months drawn the attention of international Conservative organizations for its rapid growth, massive impact, and unapologetic devotion to American ideals.
